Report: PTA Meeting 2020-21
The online Meeting of Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of the college was arranged by the PTA
Committee to provide information about the college and general guidelines. Notices were
circulated through WhatsApp groups. The meeting took place online on the Google Meet
platform, considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation, on 13th and 14th February 2021.
Nearly 1300 parents attended the meeting.
The meeting was organized in batches for different streams, ensuring the convenience of
parents to attend:
- Saturday: For FY/SY/TY BCom/BA
- Sunday: For FY/SY/TY BMS/BBI/BSc IT/BAF
Agenda & Discussions:
- Mr. A.O. Khadse (Convener of PTA): Welcomed the parents and briefed
about the meeting’s purpose, online admission process, and the Mentor-Mentee system in
place to solve student difficulties. Many parents appreciated the efforts made by the
college.
- Mr. A.O. Khadse: Informed about various online activities conducted by
the college, such as NSS, Art Circle, WDC, and DLLE, for the students' overall
development.
- Dr. Manoshi Bagchi (Chairperson, Examination Committee): Discussed the
examination format due to COVID-19 and Semester results.
- CA K.S. Jaywant: Briefed parents of First-year students about CA/CS
courses.
- Dr. Yogeshwari Patil (Coordinator, Self Financing Courses): Discussed
attendance in online lectures, project work, and various courses offered at the college.
- Dr. Aparna Thakur (Vice Principal): Guided parents about online
lectures and the safety measures during the pandemic. Informed about the upcoming
theoretical and MCQ-based examinations.
- Dr. Dilip Patil (Principal): Addressed the gathering, assured support,
and discussed the opening of the college as per university and government circulars.
- Principal: Informed parents about various Value Added Courses and their
importance in students’ careers.
- Parents' questions were answered by the Convener, Vice-Principal, and Coordinator.
- Parents were encouraged to motivate their children to participate in various workshops,
webinars, and sessions.
Meeting Support:
The meeting was hosted by PTA Committee member Ms. Shweta Dubey, with technical support by
Ms. Vrushali Ghodke. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to all parents and
authorities.
